During the examination
Physical examinations in Korean hospitals follow a standard procedure. The doctor will give you clear instructions.
Common instructions
Most instructions involve positioning your body — lying down, sitting up, turning over, or exposing the area to be examined.
Don't be surprised
Korean doctors may touch or press on areas without much warning. This is normal and part of the examination process.
When it's over
다 됐습니다 means the examination is complete. You can get dressed and return to your seat.
Tip
Don't worry about understanding every word. Doctors will often use gestures along with their words to guide you.
